After one of my past relationships ended, my ex boyfriend told me that one of the things he and I never did was to progress beyond just seeing each other. We had no plans to move in together and we didn?t share money so we had no future plans.
I must admit, I never felt that the relationship would have turned into something that serious because we were very young at the time. But having said that, I never really believed that a couple should share money.
Wouldn?t that make things very complicated? It?s very rare that two people would be earning the same amount of money, so when finances are share the person who is earning less gets to benefit a great deal from the person who is earning more. In the same sense, the person who is earning more suffers because their partner is using their money. How do couples do it, should money be shared?
